A visitation for Mary Jane Hall Nichols, 84 of Thomasville will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Alabama at a later date. Mrs. Nichols passed away December 20, 2016 at Archbold Hospital. Born April 26, 1932 in Bellamy Alabama, she was the daughter of the late William Wesley Hall and Lucy Ross Hall. She was preceded in death by husbands, John C. Nichols in 2006 and Robert Lee Watt in 1965. Mrs. Nichols worked for the FBI and was a teacher in the Sumter County Alabama School System. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, she loved to cook and made the best pound cake. She loved sports, anything Alabama Crimson Tide and San Antonio Spurs, loved to dance and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Bill Watt and wife Jennifer of Jasper, Alabama, Richard Watt and wife Cathy of Monticello, Florida, Greg Watt and wife Cindy of Dothan, Alabama and John D. Nichols and wife Stacy of Independence, Kentucky; grandchildren, Shanna Marie Watt, Dana Jane Watt, Pamela Watt, Stratton Watt, Chapman Watt, Hailey Nichols, Conrad Nichols, Lyndsay Nichols and Steven Nichols; brother, Bubba Hall of Fairhope, Alabama; sisters, Billie Doyle LaBarbara of Orange Beach, Florida, Shirley Autrey of Greenville, Alabama, Clara Ichord of Waynesville, Missouri and Becky Bennett of Enterprise, Alabama.
