Graveside services for Mary Pittman Douglas, 94, of Thomasville are at 2 p.m. central standard time, Sunday, October 21, 2007, in Memory Hill Cemetery in Dothan, Ala. The Rev. Kerry Kizer will officiate. Mrs. Pittman died October 19, 2007 at the Golden Living Center. Born February 25, 1913 in Coffee County, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Norman Allen and Cassie Ola Edgar Pittman. She was married to William Jefferson Douglas who preceded her in death. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God and was a secretary for Independent Life. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Robbie Douglas of Thomasville and Marvin and Sheila Newman of Orange Beach, Ala.; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Joe Pelham of Dothan, Ala.; grandchildren, Amanda Whiddon of Dothan, Ala., Lynn Douglas Wise of Thomasville, Derrick Newman of Clarksville, Tenn., Lori Newman of Dothan, Ala., Kristi Taylor Deatherage of Dothan, Ala. and Kristopher Taylor of Orange Beach, Ala.; and, three great-grandchildren.
