Mrs. Mary Phyllis Royal, 79, passed away in Saint Petersburg, FL on June 20, 2024.
A funeral service to honor Mary's life will take place Monday, June 24, 2024 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home at 11 am. The Family will have a visitation from 10 -11am before the service on Monday. Mary was born on September 26, 1944, in Cairo, GA to the late Earl Otha and Edna Earle Aycock Murkerson.

Mary was a devoted wife to her late husband Ronald D. Royal, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage until his passing in April 2020. Together they raised a loving family who she leaves behind to cherish her memory.
Mary will forever be remembered by her children Susan Willis/Smathers, Sharon Willis/Hunter, Shirley Willis, Ronald Royal Jr., and Stephen J. Royal, as well as her siblings Winnie Kate Murkerson/Anderson, George Otha Murkerson, Alice Faye Murkerson-Kines, Stephen Earl Murkerson, and Sharon Murkerson Heinz. She was also a beloved grandmother to Merinda Smathers, Priscilla Smathers/Kelton, Heather Kent, Jennifer Kent/Clayton, Shelly Webb/McDonald, Cole Royal, Wyatt Royal, Ashley Royal, and Cassity Royal. Mary also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald D Royal, her parents, and her brother James Colin Murkerson.
