Mary Alma Shealy Mills

Graveside services for Mary Alma Shealy Mills, 86, of Atlanta, formerly of Thomasville, are 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Keith Hill officiating. Mrs. Mills died March 24, at A.G. Rhodes Nursing Home in Atlanta. Born November 5, 1920 in Batesburg, S.C, she was the daughter of the late Mark Manchester & Elizabeth Miss Lizzie Whittle Shealy. On December 25, 1943, in New Port, RI, she married Erskine L. Mills, who precedes her in death. Mrs. Mills was a schoolteacher and a member of First Presbyterian Church the years she lived in Thomasville. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Robert M. & Mary Bird Mills, of Gainesville, GA., Douglas W. & Eileen Hallman Mills, of Thomaston, GA., daughter, Carol Mills Felton, of Atlanta, granddaughters and husbands, Marianne Mills & Casey Cagle, Julie Mills & Cauley Rushing, all of Gainesville, GA., granddaughters, Amanda L. Mills, and Kristen A. Mills, both of Thomaston, GA., Anna C. Felton, grandson, Drew Felton, both of Atlanta, great grandson, Austin Cagle, and a brother, Leon Shealy, of Batesburg, SC. A brother and sister, Carlyle Shealy and Addie Shealy Sadler, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
