Services for Mary Elizabeth Griner Guy, 86, of Thomasville are 11:00 am, Friday, April 15, 2011 at First Baptist Church Chapel, where she was a member. The Rev. Dan Spencer will officiate. Mrs. Guy died April 12, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home of Quitman. Born December 13, 1924 in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late Russell Griner and Grace Cheek Griner. She was married to John B. Guy who preceded her in death. Mrs. Guy was one of the founding members of the Junior Service League and was an avid bridge player, participating in several bridge groups in Thomasville, Panama City, Fl and Highlands, NC. Survivors include sons, John B. Guy, Jr and wife Jane of Thomasville, Lacy Guy Barbara of Franklin, NC; daughter, Elisabeth Guy Loyd of Pavo; grandchildren, Jessie Guy and Wylie Guy both of Anchorage, Alaska.
