Mary Elizabeth Selph Stanaland Gwaltney

Services for Mary Elizabeth Selph Stanaland Gwaltney, 72, of Thomasville are 11 am, Friday, June 3, 2011 at First Baptist Church Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Milton C. Gardner will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Gwaltney passed away May 31, 2011 at Camellia Gardens. Born May 17, 1939 in Pavo, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Edward Selph and Kathleen Surrency Selph. She was married to R. H. Gwaltney who survives and Clarence E. Stanaland who preceded her in death in 1991. Mrs. Gwaltney was a secretary at Southwestern State Hospital and was a member at First Baptist Church. Other survivors include daughter Connie York and husband Hugh of Cumming; grandchildren, Stephanie York and Cory York. She was preceded in death by brothers Ed Selph, Gene Selph, Frank Selph and J.E.
