Services for Mattie Bessie Cox of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. Rev. Ken Burgess will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Cox died July 14, 2003 at Camellia Gardens of Life Care. Born March 25, 1914 in Thomas Co. GA., she was the daughter of the late Mack and Alice Mims Coffee. She was married to George Edwin Cox who preceded her in death. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, a homemaker and participated in the Senior Citizen Special Olympics at the YMCA. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Edwin F. and Nancy Cox, son, George Earl Cox all of Thomasville; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She is reunited with her daughter Dorothy Cogland who preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00PM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
