Funeral services for Maurice McMath Chandler will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Allen and Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. Rev. Rickey Whitley will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. in the Celebration of Life Chapel. Maurice passed away on Saturday November 20, 2021. Born on March 28, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Singletary and Annie Singletary. She attended Thomasville High School where she graduated with the class of 1948. She is retired from Southern Bell Telephone company. Mrs. Chandler was also a member of Pineland Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Vickie (Emory) Lutes, Janice Dolan, and Pattie Butler; grandchildren, Laurie (Benjie) Donovan, Marty (Charity) Lutes, Amee (Kevin) Cleveland, Jada (Jeffrey) Drawdy, Jen (Keith) Mobley, and Jody (Ashley) Lane; great grandchildren, Jake (Katie) Donovan, Cole (Haley) Donovan, Anne Martin Lutes, Leila Lutes, Katie Cleveland, Dolan Cleveland, Ansley Drawdy, Sydnie Drawdy, Mac Mobley, Laney Mobley, Klara Lane, and Finton Lane; sisters-in-law, Floye McMath and Dot Hagans; several nieces and nephews; stepdaughters, Carole Inman, Beth Chandler, Susan Chandler, and P.J. Sellers; and special friends, Bertha Sculley, Mildred Anderson, Mary Milam Beatty, as well as the caregivers of Bethany Hospice. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Gene McMath of 48 years and James Chandler; sons-in-law, Tommy Dolan and Mike Butler; sister, Margaret Quick; and brother, Melvin Singletary. The family would like to ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Never Lost organization of Thomasville, GA, the Treehouse Children’s Advocacy Center, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
