Max Anthony Bridges

Services for Max Anthony Bridges, 72 of Wellborn, Fl will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. Rev. Lester Allen will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Jody Smith, Jeff Simmons, Randy Brickey, Lovon Singletary and David Mann. Mr. Bridges passed away June 24, 2012 in Gainesville, Fl. Born July 31, 1939 in Spartanburg, SC; he was the son of the late Elmo Maxwell Bridges and Edith Pitts Bridges. On March 9, 1963 at Neptune Beach Baptist Church he married Hazel Strickland Bridges who survives. He was a member of Neptune Baptist Church; was a member of Masonic Lodge #272 in Jacksonville, Fl and was a retired police officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Other survivors include brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank & Virginia Boles, W.B. & Virginia Strickland, Russell Smith and the late Anita Smith, Annie Strickland and the late Durward Strickland and numerous nieces and nephews.
