Maxie Paula Roberts Skipper

Services for Maxie Paula Roberts Skipper, 82, of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Thomasville Church of Christ. Pastor Garland Basford will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Skipper passed away at her home with her family at her side on Tuesday, November 20. Maxie was born in Thomas County August 27, 1930 to William A. Roberts and Nadia Lee Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Elton B. Roberts. Mrs. Skipper has been a resident of Thomasville since 1954. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Tampa, Fl in 1948. She was retired from Caldwell Banker Realty as a real estate agent. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alonzo Buddy Skipper, son, Stephen Gary Skipper and wife Helen of Thomasville, daughters, Deborah A. Blankinship and husband David of Tallahassee and Teresa L. Perkins and husband Lee of Cairo; grandsons, James Richard Herrington, III Trey of Austin, Tx, Edwin Blake Herrington of Tallahassee and William Tyler Herrington and wife Jessica of Tallahassee; granddaughters, Tonya Lynn Skipper and Terri Leigh Skipper of Thomasville; seven great grandchildren and special friends, Estelle Pat Dorminey and James Richard Herrington, Jr. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, November 23, 2012 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
