Memorial services for Maxine Woodham Hill, 82 of Thomasville will be held at 3PM, Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Dawson Street United Methodist Church and Rev. Matt Barlow will officiate. Mrs. Hill passed away on August 19, 2016 at her residence after her battle with cancer. Born December 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Woodham and Johnnie Ruth Barber Woodham. She loved cooking, working in her flower beds, gardening, and fishing. She also loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Hill was married to Melvin LaDon “Don” Hill for 58 years before he passed away. Survivors include daughters, Faye Hill Culpepper and husband Jerry of Marietta, Georgia and Susan Hill Griffin of Thomasville; grandchildren, William C. Culpepper, Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force of Charleston, South Carolina, Lindsay Culpepper of Dothan, Alabama, Kameron Griffin of Thomasville and Michael Hill and wife Tracy of Cairo and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Mel Hill and sister, Betty Ann Crowder. Memorial contributions may be sent to Dawson Street United Methodist, 1132 N.
