Maxine Ruth Anderson

Services for Maxine Ruth Ylander Anderson, 89, of Thomasville will be Wednesday November 2 at 1:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Wendell Hollingsworth will officiate and internment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Mark Anderson, Ron Anderson, Richard Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Max Anderson and Jonathan Jones. Mrs. Anderson died October 29, 2011 in Thomasville. Born May 24, 1922 in Omaha, Nebraska she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dorothy Merriam Ylander. She was preceded in death by her husband Shivers L. "Andy" Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a Kindergarten teacher and a graduate of Kansas St. University where she was a member of CHI Omega Sorority. She was a member of PEO in Macon, GA. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville, a former member of Vineville Baptist Church of Macon and attended Hebron Fellowship in Thomasville. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law, Mark & Marsie Anderson of Martinez, Ga and Ron & Debbie Anderson of Columbus, daughter & son-in-law, Jan & Wendell Hollingsworth of Thomasville; grandchildren, Richard & Donna Anderson, Leslie Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Amy Hollingsworth, Dawn Hollingsworth, Sgt. Jason Hollingsworth and Max Anderson; great grandchildren, Rilan Anderson and Bayley Lastimosa. The family will receive friends before the service from 12 to 1 on Wednesday.
