Mcarthur Castleberry

Services for McArthur Castleberry, 76 of Pavo will be held at 5:00 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dave Allen will officiate. Mr. Castleberry passed away December 9, 2018 at his residence. Born September 28, 1942 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late Jefferson Dewey Castleberry and Karen Odessa Milam Castleberry. He was married to Alice Joanne Johnson Castleberry, who survives. Mr. Castleberry was a small engine mechanic for Knapp Hardware for 40 plus years and was also a small engine instructor for Thomas Technical School. Other survivors include his children, Janet Castleberry Johnson and husband John of Pavo, McFred Castleberry and wife Brandy of Thomasville, Sherri Ann Burton of Thomasville and Roger Dale Barfield and wife Janet of Cairo; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Johnson of Thomasville and his companion dog Harley. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Homer Castleberry, Robert Castleberry and sister, Dorothy Clements. The family will receive friends 4-5 pm, Thursday before the service at the funeral home.
