Graveside services for Melba Lucille Stephens will be held at
12:00 noon on Wednesday April 21, 2004 in Tazwell Cemetery in Tazwell, Ga. Mrs. Stephens died Friday April 16, 2004 at West Minister Oaks. Born on Aug. 22, 1912 in Buena Vista, Ga. she was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Singleton and Bertha Harris Singleton. Mrs. Stephens was married to Walter Leon Stephens who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Thomasville. Survivors include her son Thomas L. Stephens of Tallahassee, Fl.; grandchildren Anita Boeth of Riverview, Fl, Thomas Stephens II of Sarasota, Fl.; great grandchild Walter Harrison Boeth of Riverview, Fl; sisters Doris Welch and Mary Wells both of Buena Vista, Ga. She was preceded in death by brothers Luke Singleton, Mark Singleton, Ben Singleton, and Claude Singleton and a sister Vera McMickle. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association 1925 Century Blvd., Suite 10 Atlanta, Ga 30345. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening April 20, 2004 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM
