Merl Ernest Clark

Graveside services for Merl Ernest Clark, 88, of Thomasville, are 4:30 pm, Friday, March 23, 2007 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. Mr. Clark died March 21, 2007 at his residence. Born Feb 28, 1919, in Waterville ME, he was the son of the late Ernest & Eva Gullifer Clark. He came to Thomasville in February 1958 and was employed by Allwood Plantation, which later became Rosewood Plantation where he retired as manager. On Dec 11, 1957, in Hudson N.H., he married Marjorie Smith Clark, who survives. Other survivors include his chosen children, Randy & Patti Benton, of Thomasville, grandchild, Jamie Benton, many nieces and nephews. He left behind his canine companions Libby, Coal and Ebony, and was loved by his many friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Thomasville-Thomas County Humane Society, 180 Big Star Dr., Thomasville, Ga 31792.
