Merlin Bernard Monsalvatge, III, (Monty) 73, of Thomasville died January 13, 2020 at Southern Pines Senior Living. Born April 1946 in Miami, Florida he was the son of Merlin Bernard Monsalvatge, Jr., and Teresa Murray Monsalvatge (both deceased). He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maureen Perry Monsalvatge, and three children, Matthew, Kathryn, and Michael (Anna), two grandchildren Lauren and Eve, and three siblings, Mary, Geoffrey (Laura), and Donald (Linda) Monsalvatge.
Monty was a veteran of the United States Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Thomasville Orchid Society .
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Thomasville.
