Mildred Rebecca Anderson, 96, of Thomasville, passed away on April 30, 2026. Mildred was born on December 24, 1929, in Ochlocknee to the late Fred Zealand Tryan and Mary Castleberry Tryan.
Mildred was a proud graduate of Thomasville High School and was a lifelong member of Pineland Baptist Church, where she found connection with her faith and her community. She married the love of her life, Arthur A. Anderson on February 4, 1949, in Thomasville and shared over 50 years of marriage together before his passing in 2000.
Mildred is survived by her son Tim Anderson (Gina) of Griffin, GA, grandchildren Calvin Anderson (Stacey), Aaron Anderson, Bridgett Mixon (Josh), Randall Scott, and Sarah Scott, and nine great-grandchildren, Malachi Anderson, Mathew Anderson, Hinton Anderson, Nena Anderson, Reagan Anderson, Nolan Mixon, Graham Mixon, Maisie Mixon, and Winter Mixon.
Mildred is preceded in death by her siblings, Albert Tryan, Edward Tryan, Edge Tryan, George Tryan, Pauline Coffee, Velma Fallin, Emogene McNeil, Doris Cassidy, Louise Parrish, and Evelyn Bracewell.
A service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at 2 pm at Allen & Allen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
