Mildred Hogan Rogers

Services for Mildred Hogan Rogers, 89 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, August 29, 2014 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers passed away August 25 at Plantation Manor. Born August 21, 1925 in Pavo; she was the daughter of the late Charlie Eason Hogan and Elsie Worthy Hogan. She was married to Wiley Eugene Rogers for 65 years, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by son Gene Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was retired from Coats & Clark after 34 years and was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Dannie Rogers and wife Debra and Judy Davis all of Thomasville; daughter-in-law, Jackie Rogers; special niece and nephew, Suzette & Stan Monroe and Winton & Wanda Barnes; grandchildren, Chad & Jill Rogers, Norwood & Pam Rogers, Brandy & Gates Kirkham, Vanessa & Joe Lawrence, Kelly & Clint Chastain, Wendy Connelly, Wink Barnes, Lydia & Ben White, Amanda Monroe and Stanton Monroe; great-grandchildren, Leedia, Lani, Griffin, Christian, Parker, Lexi, Avery, Jesse, Cooper, Charlie, Miles, Ben, and Ben White; sisters; Lois Rogers and Josephine Carter. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff and & her friends at Plantation Manor for their care of Mrs. Rogers.
