Services for Mildred Rose Tashie of Thomasville will be held at East Side Baptist Church where she was a member at 11:00AM on Monday, January 14, 2013. Pastor Tim Robson will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Millie went to be with The Lord January 11, 2013 surrounded by her family in her home. Born February 27, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Madonia Schinelli. She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, George Tashie. Many knew her as Millie. Some knew her as Mrs. Tashie. A few knew her as Tootsie. But most knew her as Yia Yia. She loved The Lord and her family with all her heart and was an encouragement to everyone she met. She is also survived by her sons, Joe Tashie and wife, Kathy of Waxhaw, NC, Jim Tashie and wife, Melinda of Thomasville and daughter, Eve Tashie Adams and husband, David of Thomasville, GA, grandchildren, Luke Tashie and wife Laura, Arik Tashie, Christina Tashie Clawson and husband Steven, Tyler Miller, Hannah Tashie, Michael Adams, Emily Adams, Olivia Adams, Stephanie Adams, Stephen Adams and Catie Adams, great grandchildren, Evelyn Tashie, Isabel Tashie, Clara Tashie, Ryder Miller and Sophia Clawson, sisters, Dolly Santillo of Parlin, NJ and Janice Wiswell and husband Russ of Jacksonville, FL., many nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Irene Tashie Schultz and husband Don and Chris Tashie.
