Minnie Long Shiver

Services for Minnie Ola Boles Long Shiver, 93 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Summerhill Baptist Church. Rev. Mitch Clements will officiate and interment will be in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Barwick. Ms. Shiver passed away November 4 at Glenn-Mor Nursing Home. Born March 4, 1920 in Quitman, she was the daughter of the late Frank Boles and Julia Carter Boles. She was preceded in death by her first husband George Long on January 7, 1966 and second husband Eldridge Shiver on December 31, 1991. She is survived by her children, Larry Long and wife Hazel of Thomasville and Terry Long and wife Spring of Boston; grandchildren, Randall Long and Marcus Long; 5 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by sisters and brothers, Myrtle Hagan, Florence Tinsley, Manous Boles, G.W. Dub Boles, Mel Boles and Albert Boles.
