Services for Miriam Carter Gottlieb of Ochlocknee are at 2:00PM on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Johnny Cooper, the Rev. Merrill Coram and the Rev. Glenn Deaver will officiate and interment is in Little Ochlocknee Cemetery. Pallbearers are Sandy Meadows, Jr., David Meadows, Wayne Meadows, Wendell Chastain, T. Tinsley, Albert Scott, Jr., Jerry Scott, Larry Carter, Russell Carter, Frances Tomlinson, Judy Meadows, Martha Ann Miller, Robin Robinson, Joan Sistrunk, Carol Collins, Romona Baggerly, Clarisse Crew and Billie Smith. Ms. Gottlieb died May 25, 2004 at her residence. Born October 25, 1947 in Thomasville she was the daughter of the late Wallace Leon Carter and Gladys Yates Carter who survives in Ochlocknee. Ms. Gottlieb was a homemaker and graduated from Southwest Georgia Technical College. Other survivors include her son, Sandy Gottlieb of Hawaii and brothers, Wallace L. Carter, Jr. of Marietta, GA and John F. Carter of Ochlocknee. Memorials may be made to the Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Building fund, 7856 Hwy 188, Ochlocknee, GA 31773.
