Graveside services for Monteen E. Hicks Odom, 89 of Ochlocknee will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Charles Neely will officiate. Mrs. Odom passed away January 20, 2015 at Archbold Hospital. Born December 19, 1925 in Coolidge, she was the daughter of the late William Gibson Pierce and Beulah Alice Lane. She was married to Doug T. Hicks, Sr who preceded her in death and later married Jim Odom who also preceded her in death. She was a member of Little Ochlocknee Baptist Church and worked in the deli at Winn Dixie. She is survived by son, Douglas T. Hicks, Jr; daughter, Brenda King Hester and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Teresa & Steve Lamb, Donna & Robert Lindval, Cindy Hicks and David Smith, Lisa & Sean Anderson, Angie & Jamey Hopkins, and Brian & Kaitlin King; great grandchildren, Kelly & Rocky Johnson, David Lindval, Casey Lindval, Cynthia Barfield, Joshua Barfield, Brandon Barfield; great great-grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Ashton Anderson, Kristen Anderson, Will Hopkins, Douglas Hopkins, Brian King, Jr and Lance King. She was preceded in death by sisters, Velma Spires, Inez Sherrod, Willie Mae Wilson; brother, Everett Pierce; daughter-in-law Glenda Hicks and son-in-law, Benjie King.
