Myra Frances Miller

Funeral services for Myra Frances Rochester Roberts Miller, 88 of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 29, 2019 at First Newark Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Steve Brooks will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Miller passed away July 25, 2019 at Plantation Manor. Born March 19, 1931 in Tallassee, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Efrem Owen Rochester and Ollie Byrd Rochester. She graduated from Griffin High school in 1949 and worked for Shell Oil Company until she retired in 1987. She is survived by her husband, John T. Miller; son, Michael Eugene Roberts of Griffin; step-children, Debbie Karcher of Opelika, Ala, Sherry Meadows of Opelika, Ala, Toby Miller of Harrisburg, VA, Kim Mann of Opelika, Ala and Beverly McKeever of Auburn, Ala; grandchildren, Shelby Michaela Nguyen and husband Johnson and Chasity Ridgeway and husband Derek; great-grandchildren, Jade Autumn Nguyen, Aiden, Allyson and Colby Ridgeway; sister, Kay Blackwell of Cartersville and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Morris, Virginia Bullard and brother, Robert Boman Rochester. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm, Sunday at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
