Services for Myrtle Estelle Spivey Barnes, 77 of Ochlocknee will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Greg Roberts and Rev. Shane Mills will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Barnes passed away December 30, 2013 at her residence. Born September 7, 1936 in Cairo, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Spivey and Effie Irene Singletary Spivey. She was married to Eugene T. Barnes, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Doyle K. Barnes of Cairo, Myrtle Elizabeth Wood of Ochlocknee, Doris Marie Johnson of Ochlocknee and Eunice M. Spring of North Laurel, Miss, Toney E. Barnes of Moultrie, Patricia A. Johnson of Jesup, Tammy I. Laws Hogan of Panama City, Fl and Henry Clyde Barnes of Tallahassee; 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother, John Henry Spivey of Cairo; sisters, Peggy Kathleen Joiner of Thomasville and Shirley A.
