Nadine Griffin

Nadine Crawford Griffin, 87, of Ochlocknee, passed away on March 15, 2024. Born on August 28, 1936, in Cairo, GA to the late Thomas S. Crawford and Eva Miller Crawford, Nadine was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Richard Griffin on May 5, 1972 and they shared 51 years of marriage. She was a faithful member of Northside Baptist Church and found joy in cooking, fishing, crocheting, and treasured moments with her family.

Nadine leaves behind her beloved husband Richard Griffin, and her children Nancy Harshbarger (Nick) of Meigs, Melanie Sanders (Herman) of Cairo, and Thomas F. Sellers Jr (Margaret) of Cairo. She is also survived by stepchildren Butch Barlow (Martha) of Perry, FL, Debbie Brock (Tommy) of Thomasville, Carol Gerald (Roy) of Thomasville, and Ricky Griffin (Debbie) of Thomasville, as well as 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close, and 2 special nieces and 1 nephew including Cindy, Lisa, and Jim.

Nadine was preceded in death by her siblings, Rayford Crawford (Irene), Mable Waters, Herman Crawford, Esther Sheffield, Thomas Crawford, and great-granddaughter Ann Grace Bannister.

Services to commemorate Nadine's life will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Northside Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Mike Allen. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 5-7 pm at Allen and Allen Funeral Home. She will be interred at Laurel Hill. Pallbearers for the service will be James A. Bowers IV (Jaybe), Cleburn R. Bannister IV (Beau), Lee Gerald, Chris Brock, David Barlow (Doodle), and Chris Upton.
