Services for Nancianne Southerland Powers, 75 of Thomasville will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Powers passed away September 16, 2015 at Archbold Hospital. Born January 2, 1940 in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Arthur Wise Southerland and Alma Nadine Alligood Southerland. On June 13, 1959 she married Ernest Franklin Powers, Sr. She was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church where she served as a Cub Scout den leader when her children were young. She was the owner of Nanci’s Sunshine Corner and a caregiver to many. Mrs. Powers was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, close friends and reading books. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ernest Franklin Powers, Sr of Thomasville; her children, Ernest Franklin (Buddy) Powers, Jr and wife Penny of Las Vegas, Nevada, Leanna Powers Sculley and husband Ronnie of Thomasville, and Arthur Powers and wife Heather of Thomasville; grandchildren, Kyle Powers, Wyndham Powers, Haley Roberts, Remington Powers, Bryan Sculley, Kristen Sculley, Stephanie Sculley, Max Powers and Branden Powers; sister, Janella Murphy of Thomasville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Isaac Lamar Powers and sister, Winnieanne Holland. The family will receive friends 6-8, Friday, September 18, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
