Nannie Clyde Welch

Funeral services for Nannie Clyde Carter Welch will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM. The Rev. Clint Yelverton and Rev. Allen Pierce will officiate and interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Pelham. Mrs. Welch died September 25, 2006 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. She was married to the late William Roy Welch who preceded her in death in 1994. Born April 3, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Claude and Elizabeth Cozart Carter. Mrs. Welch was a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters and son-in-laws, Mary and Lamont Davis of Pelham; Barbara and Randall Carroll of Rose Hill, Ga; a daughter Patty Bufford of Pelham; Linda Willis of Pelham; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Kathy Welch of Pelham; Grandchildren, Chris Welch, Angie and Jason Tucker, Maria and Matthew Free; Rory and Jamie Nesmith; Albert Jr. and Kris Bufford; Lynn Burgess; Diane and Marty Russell; and Wally Bufford all of Pelham and Robby and Rhonda Willis of Cairo; Andy and Angela Carroll, Marie Miller of Hartsfield and Billy Wayne and Leslie Carroll, Fayetteville, NC. Other survivors include 20 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Neva Gregory and a brother-in-law, Rabbit Welch both of Pelham. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Albert Bufford Sr. The family will receive friends at the Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel in Pelham Tuesday from 6:00-8:00PM.
