Graveside services for Nina Jeanette Smith Soday, 81 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Gary Milton will officiate. Mrs. Soday passed away March 20 after a brief illness. Born March 26, 1931 in McCall Creek, Miss; she was the daughter of the late Nola Denver Smith and Gladys Case Smith. She was married to Albert Jay Soday who preceded her in death. Mrs. Soday was a cherished wife, mother and grandmother. She received a bachelor's degree in education from Louisiana State University where she met her husband of 57 years. They resided for many years in Yazoo City, Mississippi where she taught school and raised her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Yazoo City and later of Thomasville. She was active in the WMU. She is survived by her children Jay Soday and wife Roselynn of Bentonia, MS, Denver Soday of Canton, MS, and Gwyn Mallett and husband Jerry of Thomasville; grandchildren, Samantha McWilliams and husband David, Molly Senior and husband Josh, Kimberly White and husband Jason, Katie Murphy and husband Nick, Sarabeth Hudson and husband Doug, Lauryl Eppler and husband Adam, Kent Mallett and wife Lauren and Seth Mallett; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie Strickland and Margie Whitehead and husband Walt all of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, J.
