Noah Mercer

Services for Noah Mercer, 74, of Thomasville are 11:00 am, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Victory Baptist Church. The Rev. David Roberson will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Mercer passed away May 30, 2011 at his residence. Born November 9, 1936 in Brooks County, he was the son of the late Hiram Mercer and Minor Rosebud Griffin Mercer. He was married to Betty Ruth Crosby Mercer, who survives. Mr. Mercer was retired from Flowers Banking Co after 20 years of service and retired from Thomas County Public Works after 21 years of service. Other survivors include children, Cathy Miller and husband Howard of Thomasville, Donnie Mercer and wife Katrina of Stafford, Va, Theresa Sheffield and Hiram Davis, Jr of Cairo; grandchildren, Colby Cone, Kelly Cone, Paul Mercer, Andrew Mercer, Chris Sheffield, Ashley Thompson, Quinton Waters, Katlin Mercer, Cory Waters; great grandchildren, Ciny Cone, Jaci Cone, Prince Banks, Kendall Sheffield, Caleb Sheffield, Scarlett Mercer; brothers, Billy Ray Mercer of Thomasville and Carl Mercer of California.
