Nolen George Carter

Services for Nolen George Carter of Thomasville are at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kevin Odom will officiate and interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mr. Carter died April 12, 2008 at Triad Health of Georgia. Born October 22, 1930 in Thomas County, GA he was the son of the late Roy Franklin and Effie Mae Gandy Carter. He was married to Hattie Taylor Carter who preceded him in death. Mr. Carter was a member of The Church of the Nazarene and was a section supervisor for Coats America. Survivors include a son, Thomas George Carter of Albany, daughters and sons-in-law, Grace Diane Phillips and David and Franci Crosby and Ralph Jones all of Thomasville; brother, Mabrey F. Carter of Albany, GA; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jamie Carroll Carter, brother, James Thomas Carter and sister, Geneva Cannon. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Monday at the funeral home.
