Norbert Herman Meiners

Memorial services for Norbert Herman Meiners, 82 of Thomasville will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. His brother, Louis Meiners will officiate. Mr. Meiners passed away December 12 at his residence. Born May 31, 1934 in Audubon County, IA, he was the son of the late George Meiners and Mathilda Klocke Meiners. He is survived by his wife, Janet Patrick Meiners of Thomasville. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1957-1959. Mr. Meiners was also a member of the American Legion, a lifetime member of the Nights of Columbus and was a volunteer fireman for the Dedham Fire Dept for over 30 years. He is also survived by his children, Lisa Story of Sheldon, IA, Jeffery Meiners of Dedham, IA, Lori Warner of Dedham, IA and Scott Meiners of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Delaney Story, Chenoa Story, Drake Warner, Abigail Warner, KC Meiners, Will Meiners and Cael Story; sisters, Deloris McCort of Council Bluffs, IA, JoAnn Humphries of Pelham, GA, Mary Weber and husband John of Thomasville, GA, Emily Ogden and husband Jim of Virginia; brothers, Louis Meiners, of Dedham, IA, Richard Meiners of Dedham, IA and Daryl Meiners and wife Peggy of Fremont, NE; sisters-in-law, Alberta Meiners of Dedham, IA and Joyce Meiners of Carroll, IA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Wilfred Meiners, David Meiners; sisters-in-law, Judy Meiners and Barbara Meiners and brothers-in-law, Jack McCort and Harry Humphries.
