Funeral services for Olia Glausier Shifflett, 84, of Thomasville, will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Allen will officiate and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Shifflett passed away on September 2, 2015 at her residence. Born February 14, 1931 in Hartsfield, GA, she was the daughter of the late Manley F. Duke and Mary Chapman Duke. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Shifflett loved yellow cats and named them all with the letter “T”. She loved her family and even though she had tragedy in her life, she remained a strong Christian lady. During her children’s teenage years, she took in kids who needed help. She was affectionately known as MawMaw by her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Shifflett married Rudolph Glausier, who preceded her in death in 1986 and then married Charles Melvin Shifflett, who also preceded her in death in 2002. Survivors include sons, Charles M. Glausier (Linda Mosley), Robbie K. Glausier (Beth) all of Thomasville; daughter, Tracy Glausier of Inverness, Florida; step-son, Charles M (Sonny) Shifflett (Lisa) of Deland, Florida; grandchildren, Charles M. Glausier, Jr. (Tonya) Kimberly Glausier, Austin McAnally (Michelle), Robert Michael Glausier, and Jessica Shifflett; great grandchildren, C.J. Glausier, Jordyn Glausier, Landon Jones, A.J. McAnally, and Lilly Grace McAnally; her twin sister, Ola Bank (Jimmy) of Valdosta; sister-in-law, Maddie Duke of Aiken, South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Trouble. She was preceded in death by son, Travis Glausier, brother, E.W. Duke (Pete) and sister, Ella Mae Brown. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the funeral home. Guests may sign the online register at www.allenfh.com .
