Services for Olivia Morgan Brown, 85, of Thomasville, Georgia are at 11 a.m., Monday, July 5, 2010 at Town and Country Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida. The Rev. Gene Brock will officiate. Ms. Brown died on July 1, 2010. She was born June 25, 1925 in Marion, North Carolina to the late Jesse and Evelyn Holland Morgan. On Sept. 3, 1977, she married Milton Brown who preceded her in death. She graduated from Glenwood High School and from Mitchell College in North Carolina. She was employed by Southern Bell for 32 years, where she served as an executive secretary in the Marketing Division in Jacksonville, Florida and as a supervisor in the business office in Pensacola, Florida. She was very active in multiple clubs and organizations, holding multiple offices. She was president of the Toastmistress Club. She was also president of the Jacksonville Secretaries Association from 1968 to 1969. She was secretary of the year from 1970 to 1971. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers, where she also served as club president. She was a member of the Ritual of Jewles Chapter and later joined Preceptor Iota Alpha Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, where she served as woman of the year from 1994 to 1995. She was very active in her church, Ferry Pass United Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida, for many years, where she taught Sunday school. In recent years, she moved to Thomasville, where she was a member of Morningside United Methodist Church. She is survived by brothers, JB Morgan Willie of Luttrell, Tennessee, Neal Morgan Jackie of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Betty Law James of Thomasville; nieces and nephews, Sandra Morgan, Jeff Morgan Renee, Susan Morgan Crawley Andrew all of Luttrell, Tennessee, Richard Morgan, Michael Morgan, Steve Morgan Lori all of Callahan, Florida, Pamela Law Griffin Jason of Thomasville, Georgia; great-nieces and great-nephews, Morgan Crawley, Jordan Crawley, Johnny Beal Morgan and Joshua Morgan all of Luttrell, Tennessee, Ellie Griffin and Miles Griffin both of Thomasville, Georgia, Miranda Morgan Mreen of Briceville, Florida and Johnny Morgan of Callahan, Florida. She was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Dean Morgan and William Clarence Morgan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Susan G.
