Mrs. Evans died April 10, 2008 at her residence. Born September 10, 1936 in Ochlocknee, GA, she was the daughter of Esmer and Grace Peek Willis. She was retired from Rose Haven. Survivors include daughter, Pamela Manuel and son, James Evans, Jr. both of Lake Charles, LA, daughter, Kimberly Evans of Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Shoumaker and Brandon Shoumaker; great grandchild, Brayden Shoumaker; sisters, Lell Cook Young of Thomasville, Emily Willis Foster and brother, Eugene Willis both of Meigs.
