Ollie B. Gilliard Brinson

Services for Ollie B. Gilliard Brinson, 87 of Ochlocknee are 11:00 am, Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Union Hill Primitive Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. A.C. Gilliard will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Keith Gilliard, Bryan McClenithan, Bill Boyett, Allan Boyett, Christopher Brinson and Ray Pearce; honorary are Scott Brinson, Raiford Long, Robbie Gilliard and Herman Griffin. Mrs. Brinson died November 15, 2010 at Golden Living Center. Born December 20, 1922 in Cairo, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Jackson Gilliard and Carrie Bell Golden Gilliard. On February 15, 1943 she married Bower Brinson, who preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter, Sarah Warren and husband Anthony, and son, Bower Richard Brinson, all of Ochlocknee; grandchildren, Kathy & Bill Boyett, Kim & Ray Pearce, Scott & Tina Brinson, Tracy & Ricky Luke, Amanda Brinson, Amy Brinson, Angela & Clayton Bullard, Jackson Johnson and Kerri Johnson; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janie Johnson of Camilla, brothers, A.C. Gilliard and wife Latrelle and Marion Gilliard and wife Thelma, all of Cairo; sister-in-law, Evelyn Gilliard of Camillia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Larry Jackson Johnson. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
