Omigene D. Bailey

Services for Omigene D. Bailey, 83, of Metcalfe, will be on Friday December 31, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Allen & Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Neely will officiate and burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Born November 12, 1927, in Mayo, FL, she was the daughter of the late H. V. Thorpe and Lozia I. Grantham. On November 4, 1943 in Ft. Pierce, FL, she was married to the late William A. Bailey. Mrs. Bailey was retired from Southwestern State Hospital as a LPN and was a member and served as Vice President of the GSEA from 1980 to 1987. She was a member of Metcalfe Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Bailey is survived by a daughter and son in law, Sheila I. & Harry Marshall of Metcalfe, a brother and sister in law Glenn E. and Jenene Thorpe of Spring Lake Park, MN and a sister Maxine M. Davis of Hemet, CA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Adrian L. King, Aaron R. King, Felicia A. Phelps, Teresa Marshall, Lori Misenheimer, Kimberly Marshall, several great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Billy G. Bailey.
