Services for Oneida Stephens Mattox of Thomasville are at 11:00AM on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Allen & Allen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Mattox died March 27, 2010 at Golden Living Center. Born June 8, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Sara Bloodsworth Stephens. On September 25, 1939 she married John Lee Mattox, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 30, 1966. Mrs. Mattox retired from Coats and Clark of America on April 22, 1977. She was a member of Northwood Church of God. Mrs. Mattox enjoyed traveling, Camp Meeting, Gospel Music, family gatherings, preparing special meals for the family, preparing food for the freezer, she loved her church and her family. Survivors include her children, Annette B. Hurst, Darla M. Bentley Durman of Thomasville, John Lee Mattox, Jr. Judy of Albany, GA, Charles W. Mattox Diane of Greenville, SC, Frankie D Mattox Maura of Greer SC, grandchildren, D. Elbert Gloria, Donna H. Edwards Donnie , Gale H. Everett Charles, Vance A. Hurst Joy, Belinda B.
