Born May 13, 1917 in Jackson Co., Fl., she was the daughter of the late Oscar & Lucy Watson Tipton. She was married to John Thomas Knight who preceded her in death. Mrs. Knight was of the Methodist Faith. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Daughters of Confederacy John B. Gordon Chapter 340. Survivors include her daughter Uvonne Pumphrey of Tallahassee, sons, Charles E. Gaskins of Havanna, Fl. and Ernest D. Gaskins of Kingsland, GA., daughter, Faye Knight Homyk of Thomasville; sister, Bytha Sessions of Tallahassee; nine grandchildren , 20 great grandchildren and one great grandchild.
