Funeral services for P.C. Andrews, Jr., 91, of Thomasville will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Dawson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Lee Waller will officiate and interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Andrews passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Camellia Gardens. Born November 9, 1923 in Thomasville, he was the son of the late P.C. Andrews, Sr. and Julia Stanaland Andrews. He was a graduate of Mercer Law School. He worked as an attorney and municipal court judge. Mr. Andrews was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in World War II in the Infantry in Europe. He was in the National Guard, Army Reserve, and the American Legion. Mr. Andrews was a former member of the Thomasville Exchange Club, a former member of First Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and sang in the choir and he was current member of Dawson Street Baptist Church. He was married to Marie Hopkins Andrews, who survives. Other survivors include Steve Andrews of Thomasville and daughter Ellen Andrews of Quincy, FL; brother Howard Andrews of St. Augustine, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by former wives Marian Andrews, Mayne Andrews and Margaret Andrews and several brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 4:00PM until 6:00PM at the funeral home. Donations may be sent to Dawson Street Baptist Church, 1025 N. Dawson St., Thomasville, GA 31792.
