Pamela Ann Reeves passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the age of 86 after a long illness. She was born September 11, 1938 in Tampa, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Tom Reeves, daughter Kathy Hoskinson, daughter Laura Kitchens, and son-in-law Curt Kitchens. Pam was the proud, loving grandmother of Trey Hawkins, Christopher Kitchens, and Caroline Kitchens. She is also survived by her first cousin/"sister" Judy Hughes.
Pam was a devoted mother, who, even while working outside the home, found the time to be involved in her daughter's lives. She was fun-loving, enjoying music, and making sure Kathy and Laura never missed an opportunity to attend concerts of their favorite performers. She was never too busy to spend time with them, whether going to the beach or playing games at home including Jacks, Scrabble, and Mystery Date.
"There are grandmothers out there who would move heaven and earth for their grandchildren."- Janice Elliott Howard
Pam loved her grandchildren fiercely and enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with them. She never ran out of hugs and kisses to show them how much she loved them. Trey, Christopher, and Caroline gave her so much joy.
Pam loved her peaceful backyard and especially loved her daylilies, blueberry bushes, and tomato plants. Over the years, she and Tom shared a passion for birds and cultivated a sanctuary for hummingbirds, woodpeckers, bluebirds, and cardinals.
She loved life, and especially time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She had such a positive impact on all of our lives and will be missed terribly.
A service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 2 pm at the Allen & Allen Celebration of Life Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 27th at 2 pm at Bayview Memorial Park in Pensacola, Fl.
In lieu of flowers and in remembrance of Pam's life, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association to help defeat this terrible disease.
