Panka Peters Herring, of Tallahassee Florida, wife of the late John Woodson Herring, peacefully entered eternal glory, on September 7th, 2021, with family by her side.
Originally from Fort Myers, Florida, she was known for her kind, generous spirit, and love for her family. Mrs. Herring was a realtor for more than 30 years in Tallahassee and enjoyed working with people.
She will be cherished by many people including her brother Angelo Peters of Fort Myers, FL, her children John W. Herring (Sandy), Donna Herring Flake (Lee), and Michael V. Herring (Deani), ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, the Herring family of Thomasville/Boston, GA and the Peters family of Fort Myers, FL.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Lucille, Pete, William, and grandson Jack.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, September 13, 2021, at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 211 Pinetree Blvd, Thomasville, GA at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Catholic Church at 4665 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL, 32309, and Tallahassee and Big Bend Hospice, Tallahassee at 1723 Mahan Center Blvd, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
