Parks J. Weaver

Funeral services for Parks J. Weaver, 80, of Thomasville will be Tuesday August 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Pineland Baptist Church, where he was a member. Rev. Johnny Cooper will officiate and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born January 3, 1937 in Blairsville, GA, he was the son of the late Wayne J. and Ila Mae Helton Weaver. Mr. Weaver was married to the late Vera Bonita Akins Weaver. He worked as a pipe line manager for South Georgia Natural Gas. An avid hunter and fisherman he was a collector of many things. Survivors include daughters Teresa Hester and her husband Ronnie of Cairo, Terri Riley and her husband Jeff of Huntsville, Alabama, and sons Timothy Mark Weaver and his wife Sherri and Michael Travis Weaver and his wife Sheila all of Thomasville. Other survivors include grandchildren, Ron and Shana Hester, Staci and Chris Chastain, Timothy Weaver, James Selph, Victoria and Chris Conrad, Jared Brinson, Michaela Riley and 6 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, James Weaver of Dalton, Georgia, Dennis Weaver of Ochlocknee, Boyd Weaver of Blairsville, Georgia and friend, Sharon Brinson of Thomasville.
