Services for Patricia Ann Cantley Strickland, 79, of Thomasville, will be held 2:00PM on Sunday, June 09, 2013 at Morningside United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Allen Hartsfield will officiate and interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Strickland passed away on June 06, 2013 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Born February 01, 1934 in Quincy, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Sandy Alexander Cantley and Ona Virginia Blanton Cantley. Mrs. Strickland graduated from Quincy High School and attended Quincy Business School. She was married on June 06, 1952 to William Cecil Strickland, who preceded her in death. She worked at Ryder Truck Rental as a Rental Representative for over 35 years. Mrs. Strickland was an active member of Morningside United Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer for the United Methodist Women and numerous other church committees. Mrs. Strickland was a loving mother to her children, grandchildren as well as many others. Her life centered around her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and church. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, William Sandy Strickland and wife Sharon of Richmond Hill, Ga, Kenneth Craig Strickland and wife Kathi of Thomasville; daughter and son-in-law Judi Strickland Howell and husband Ferrell of Thomasville; grandchildren Sean Alexander Strickland and wife Jackie of Engelwood, Fl., Kenneth Seth Strickland and wife Liz, William Scott Strickland and fiancé Courtney Bishie all of Richmond Hill, Ga., Ryan Thomas Graham and Andrew Thomas Graham both of Thomasville; great-granddaughter Katelyn Marie Strickland of Richmond Hill, Ga.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Margaret Marchant and husband Thomas of Bainbridge, Annette Rabon and husband Dave of Tallahassee, Fl.; sister-in-law Jean Strickland of Attapulgus, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister Ona Virginia Rowan Miller. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 08, 2013 from 4:00PM – 6:00PM at the funeral home.
