Patricia M. Scott, 82, of Thomasville, Georgia, passed away on April 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 1, 1943, in Binghamton, New York, she was the cherished daughter of John Francis Collins and Flossie Mildred Moyer. Patricia graduated from high school in 1961 in Portage, Wisconsin.

In 1962, Patricia married the love of her life, James M. Scott, in Bermuda. Their marriage flourished over a remarkable 63 years, during which they embraced the challenges and joys of being a military family. Together, they moved more than ten times, from their first home at Kindley Air Force Base in Bermuda to California, England, Oklahoma, and Illinois, before finally settling in Thomasville, Georgia, in 1988 and remaining until her passing.

Patricia served as an administrative assistant and worked closely with the Chief Nursing Officer at Archbold Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2004. She was an accomplished secretary and known for her shorthand accuracy. Patricia was treasured for her dedication and attention to detail.

Outside of her professional life, Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She treasured spending time with her family and friends and embraced her passions, including cruise ship travel, shopping, reading, and especially attending the annual Thomasville Rose Festival. Her favorite rose color was red.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, James M. Scott; children Victoria L. Scott and Patrick O'Hern of Thomasville, GA, David C. Scott and wife JoEllan Baldwin Scott of Monticello, FL, and Michele M. (Scott) Gantt and son-in-law Keith A. Gantt of Woodstock, GA; grandchildren Tyler Barkhaus of Baconton, GA, Megan (Barkhaus) and Christopher Bray of Vernon, FL, Jacob O'Hern of Pavo, GA, Christopher and Ashley Geer of Nashville, GA, Jeremiah and Cassie McCoy of Milton, FL, Jessica and Jason Wilburn of Guntersville, AL, Krystina and TJ Salaika of Angleton, TX, Kyle and Ashley Scott of Floresville, TX, Logan (Gantt) and Jacob Tranter of Acworth, GA, Sarah Gantt of Woodstock, GA, and Katherine Gantt of Woodstock, GA followed by 19 great-grandchildren.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, John Francis Collins and Flossie Mildred Moyer, and siblings Donald E. Collins, Stephen E. Collins, Jane M. Collins, and Judith A. Collins.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 11 am at Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
