Patricia Bernice Singletary

March 15, 1941 — May 2, 2020

Patricia Bernice Singletary, 79, passed away on May 2, 2020 at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia. Born in Meigs, Georgia, she was the daughter of Bernice Edward White and Eteva Redmond White of Meigs, Georgia. She graduated from Meigs High School. A Homemaker, she was a devoted mother, as she lovingly raised her three children.
Patricia was a member of Dawson Street Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher, and a past member of the Thomasville Women’s League. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards (specifically Canasta), and she was an avid reader. As the oldest of twelve children, she will lovingly be remembered for sending birthday, special occasion, and holiday cards to over one hundred family members every year.
She is survived by her three children, Shelia Tucker and husband Preston of Leesburg, Terry “Gene” Singletary Jr. and wife April of Pelham, and Shanna Allison and husband Andy of Woodstock, Georgia; nine Grandchildren: Haley Clark and husband Travis, Joshua Tucker, Kaylee Singletary, Early Singletary and wife Jessica, Ansley Allison, Evan Allison, Hannah, Camden, and Elizabeth Oliviero; four Great Grandchildren, Dawson Clark, Brooks Clark, Owen Clark, and Freya Jane Singletary; siblings Sandra Braswell, Edward White and wife Jan, O.B. White and wife Pam, and Victoria White; Sister-in-law, Carolyn White; Brother-in-law Thomas Rosser; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Grandson Terry Tristan Singletary; seven siblings, Kleman White, Jan Harrel, Donnie White, Judy Rosser, Brim White, Phillip White, and Richard White.
A private service celebrating her life and homecoming with the Lord will be held on May 5, at New Bethel Church in Meigs, Georgia. The service will be officiated by Reverend Doug Hall of Union Grove Church in Pelham.
