Patricia Patsy Brown Romeyn

Patricia Patsy Brown Romeyn, 81 of Boston passed away October 17, 2012 at her residence. Patsy was born on February 5, 1931. As a young girl, she survived the intense bombings of Sheffield, England during World War II. As a young woman, she went on to business school and then started her own business. In the late fifties, she met a handsome American scientist and both were soon smitten. Soon after Patsy moved to the United States and married the love of her life, Hendrik Romeyn. The happy couple lived in Montclair, NJ before settling in Fort Myers, FL where she lived for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Ft. Myers, FL. Prior to retirement Patsy was Staff Assistant and Docent at the Gallery of Fine Art at Edison Community College. After retiring, Patsy moved to Boston, GA. living with her daughter Alexandra. Patricia was the daughter of the late Frank Brown and Grace Henderson Brown. She was married to Hendrik Romeyn who preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother, Neville Brown and wife Jean of Sheffield, England; sister, Christine Booth and husband Peter of Oughtibridge, England; children, Alexandra Hutchison and husband Richard of Boston, GA; Hendrik Romeyn-Gray and husband Jack Gray-Romeyn of San Francisco, CA; step-daughters, Mary Romeyn and spouse Carol Miller of San Francisco, CA; Jane Dunning and husband Harry of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts; granddaughter, Ashley Hutchison of Muncie, IN. The family will have a private service at their home on Thursday October 25th from 6-8pm. Memorial Service and Internment will be at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in Ft. Myers, FL.
