Service for Pattie Sue Heidt Carter, 78, will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Allen and Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Majors Thomas and Christi Taylor will officiate. Ms. Carter passed from this life on May 20, 2017 at her residence. Born in Mitchell County on May 10, 1939, Pattie Sue lived most of her life in Thomas County. She was the only child of the late Ely David Heidt and Grace Jewel Goodson Heidt. Pattie Sue loved life, flowers and gardening, reading, serving the Lord and her family. Her heart was larger than life and she would take from her own table to help another in need. She was a volunteer for the Neighborhood Service Center and for the Scott Senior Center until her health prevented her from serving. She was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Left to cherish her memory are her 4 children and spouses; Ruth Rolfe (Ron), Susie Nathan (Danny), David Carter (Louann) and Tony Carter. Survivors also include Grandchildren; Robb Willis (Michelle), Michael Carter, Gracie Batten, April Batten, Billy Batten (Sherry), and 10 great-grandchildren. Friends and Family viewing and visitation will be 1:00pm with service to follow.
