Paula Nicoson

Paula Gehring Nicoson, age 62, passed away on September 22, 2022, at Crossview Care Center in Pineview, Ga. after battling her recent illness of 4 years. She was born in Michigan on December 5, 1960, daughter of the late Sonia and Richard Gehring. She was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School, Ct. class of 1978 and Parks College, Denver, Co. class of 1987. Paula previously lived in Thomasville, Ga. for many years and enjoyed the charm of Southern Georgia. She lived in many states including Michigan, West Virginia, Connecticut, Wyoming, Oklahoma, Colorado and Texas. Before she was a homemaker, Paula was a CNA and Medical Assistant, among other positions she held. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, reading, and shopping. Our beloved sister, Paula, loved the Lord; a born-again Christian she is now resting in peace in her permanent dwelling place, Heaven, with her Savoir Jesus Christ. Survivors include her beloved dog Twinkie; sisters Virginia G Stephens (Gary), Brenda Kling (Douglas), and Sandy Compton; nieces Tanya McKeen, Candace Stephens, Arista Tafoya; nephews Joseph Black, and Jerry Ellis; and many other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael Nicoson; mother Sonia (Gehring) Craghead and father Dick Gehring; and brother Richard Gehring Jr.
