Pearl Gafford Roberds

Funeral services for Pearl Gafford Roberds, 91 of Boston will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Boston Methodist Church. The Rev. Mark Strickland will officiate and interment will be in Boston Cemetery. Mrs. Roberds passed away May 16, 2011 at Quitman Presbyterian Home. Born April 9, 1920, she was a lifetime resident of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Claude Gafford and Eva Futch Gafford. She was married to Sterling Edward Roberds who preceded her in death. Pearl was a telephone operator in Boston and was a member of Boston Methodist Church, which she dearly loved. Survivors include son Grant Roberds and wife Betty; grandchildren Dale Roberds and wife Kyra, Greg Roberds and wife Mandy, all of Boston, April Willingham and husband Joe of Ochlocknee, Sterling Roberds, Kayla Roberds both of Boston, Taylor Glaze, Wake Roberds Griffin Roberds all of Bishop, Ga; nephew, Rev. John Green and wife Kay of St. Augustine, Fl; sister-in-law Ouida Daniels and brother-in-law Rufus Roberds both of Thomasville. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ollie Green.
