Graveside services for Peggy Lee Zeigler Vonier of Cairo will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. David Cook will officiate. Born on September 2, 1949 in Ochlocknee, she was the daughter of the late Wilmer Zeigler and Daisy Strickland Zeigler. Mrs. Vonier was a homemaker and was known by her family and friends as a great cook. She also enjoyed being outside and working with her flowers and watching Hummingbirds. She was married to Wallace B. Vonier Sr. who survives of Cairo. Other survivors include her sons Timothy Scott Goodin (Lynn) of Monticello, Fl, Kevin Joseph Goodin (Lisa) of Thomasville, daughter Nicole Ann Goodin Hooks (Scooter Odom) of Thomasville, son Michael Wayne Goodin of North Carolina; step-daughter Kristina Vonier of Germany; grandchildren Jaydyn Tyre Goodin, Meghan Goodin Oppenheim, Madison Goodin, Taff Goodin, Tyler Goodin, Kaleigh Goodin, Jeffery Highsmith, Nicholas Highsmith, John Tyler Hooks, Levi Hooks; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Jeanette Rhames of Thomasville, Faye Stanaland of Thomasville, Francis Tucker of Pelham; brothers Donald Zeigler of California and George Zeigler of Cairo. She was preceded in death by her brother Junior Zeigler and sister Betty Asbell. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00PM.
